Eden Gardens Fall Film Series Oct. 23
The Friends of Eden Gardens announce the return of the Fall Film Series, a series of family-friendly, spooky, classic films played on an outdoor screen under the oak trees at Eden Gardens State Park. The event is free with paid park admission ($4 per vehicle). Films will be shown on the lawn near the pavilion starting at 6:30 p.m.

Run Watersound 5K & 10K Oct. 25
The annual RUN WATERSOUND will take place with two event distances, a 5K & 10K. All races will begin at the Watersound Town Center with a flat scenic course through the paths and streets of the Watersound Origins community. The finish line will be back at Watersound Town Center. Seaside Halloweener Derby: Dachshund Race & Dog Costume Contest Oct. 25

Witches of South Walton Charity Ride Oct. 31
The Witches are set to ride in the 22nd Annual Witch Ride this October! Every year, the Witches decorate bikes and fly throughout their communities. These Witches dress to impress, decorate their bikes/brooms and have a wicked fun Halloween celebration. The ride will leave from Gulf Place between 6:45-7:15 a.m. The Witches will again be riding to support the mission of Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). Trick or Treat Seaside Oct. 31
There’s no place like Seaside for Halloween. Follow the Yellow Brick Road through Central Square at the annual Trick-or-Treat in Seaside, happening from 4-7 p.m. This year, the magic takes a turn to the Emerald City with a charming Wizard of Oz theme. Stroll through town collecting treats from Seaside’s merchants, meet beloved characters along the way, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and sweetness of the season. Harbor Docks Take a Kid Fishing Day Nov. 2
Some 300 children will be treated to a day of fishing on the Gulf of Mexico or Choctawhatchee Bay. Each child – and their chaperone – are served breakfast before boarding one of Destin’s finest charter boats for a morning of fishing. Upon return, the day is celebrated with a fish fry lunch, and every child is sent home with a t-shirt and their own rod and reel. This is for children from 7 to 13 years old. SOWAL Jazz Fest Nov. 6–8
South Walton is striking a new cultural chord this fall with the launch of its inaugural SOWAL Jazz Fest, a three-night celebration of world-class music and community connection. The festival will transform some of 30A’s most beloved venues into intimate jazz clubs, offering unforgettable performances that benefit the non-profit SOWAL Foundation.

Frank Sinatra Tribute – Josh Sirten and The Velvet Jazz Quartet bring Ol’ Blue Eyes’ greatest hits to life at SOWAL House on Thursday and Friday nights.

Billie Holiday Tribute – Sheila Ford with The Velvet Jazz Quartet captures the haunting beauty of Lady Day at SOWAL House on Saturday night.

Amy Winehouse Tribute – Teresa Lombardi and The Midnight Muses Quartet channel Winehouse’s raw power and passion at Distillery 98, all three nights.

The Quiet Storm – Jazz legends Bobbie Storm, Wayne Mitchum, and Jimmy Ward deliver coastal jazz and Southern soul at Black Bear’s Bar Room, all three nights.

Emerald Coast Classic Basketball Tournament Nov. 24-25 and Nov. 28-29
Since its debut in 2014, the Emerald Coast Classic has become the premier sporting event in the area, drawing top college basketball programs from around the country. For the first time, fans will be able to watch some of the nation’s best men’s and women’s basketball teams compete within a six-day span. CBS Sports Network will televise both the semifinal and championship rounds.

The women’s tournament will feature eight teams Nov. 24-25, divided into the Bay and Beach Brackets. The men’s tournament will be played Nov. 28-29 at Raider Arena.
